Cait Sith was introduced in FINAL FANTASY IV, later appearing as a summon in FINAL FANTASY VI and as a playable character in FINAL FANTASY VII, where he is seen perched atop a fat moogle. He also appears in missions from FINAL FANTASY XI's expansion "Wings of the Goddess."

In FINAL FANTASY XIV, Cait Sith appears in Chronicles of a New Era - The Shadow of Mhach. As the seal's guardian, he monitors the voidsent sealed away in the Void Ark. He's a creature with a brilliant mind and distinctive speech.
